Money stolen from Franciscan Friary

GARDAI are searching for an intruder who stole money from the Franciscan Friary in Wexford.

A sum of cash was taken from the office of the Friary in Francis Street last Tuesday afternoon.

A man was seen acting suspiciously in the Friary grounds shortly before the theft.

A similar incident took place at the offices of O' Callaghan Cody and Company accountants in Whitemill Industrial Estate earlier that day.

A man entered the premises at 1.30 p.m. while staff were on their lunch break, walked upstairs and stole a petty cash box.
