The Beardie Boys have sported some interesting facial hair since they began their charity endeavor in 2013 and this year, they went for the full moustache.

The group, who consist of ten friends from around the Curracloe and Screen area, organise an annual beard shave in aid of Ard Aoibhinn. This year, their close shave in Hotel Curracloe raised €2194.

'It was a great night,' said Murt Hanrahan, one of the Beardie Boys. 'We like to do something different every year.'

The impressive moustaches took each member a month to grow. According to Murt, they are delighted with their success as several of them have family members who avail of the centre's services.

Last year's shave proved just as successful, with the group raising €4800 for Ard Aoibhinn.
