New cemetery
ENNISCORTHY'S NEW council run cemetery will be open later this year, Cllr. Pat Cody has been informed. The councillor told officials on Monday that soon no plots will be available at the long established St. Mary's burial ground on the other side of the Nunnery Road. He said that families without plots reserved were becoming anxious about the matter but he was assured by officials that the council is working with a view to having the new burial ground ready in autumn.
