a new County Librarian has been appointed.

Eileen Morrisey, from Tagoat, is the fifth County Librarian and the first Wexford native to hold the job.

She previously worked in charge of the development of the new County Library.

Eileen attended the Presentation in Wexford and then studied journalism for some time in Dublin before joining the library service in Dublin where she worked for some years before coming back to Wexford in 2007.

She worked in Bunclody Library for some time and worked her way up the ranks to her promotion to senior librarian.

Wexford's former county library Fionnuala Hanrahan retired last year after 19 years in the post.
