THE news of the sudden passing on Saturday of Niall Moules has been met with deep sadness who knew him in Wexford and Gorey. A native of St Martin's Drive, Aughrim, Niall died at his home in Wexford. He moved there in December 2013 from Gorey where he became well known over the five years he spent there.
During his time in Gorey, he was heavily involved in the Gorey Men's Shed Group, and volunteered with various groups such as Gorey Tidy Towns. He also acted at steward at various events and attended VTOS adult education classes. 'He was well liked and a great worker and always dressed impeccably,' said a friend from Gorey. 'We're very sad to hear of his passing.'
Niall was the loving son of Thomas and the late Evelyn, and is deeply regretted by his daughters Ella and India, father, brothers Gordon, and Adrian, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
His remains repose in Byrne's Funeral Home, Main Street, Aughrim, on Tuesday, May 12, from 2 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to St. Brigid's Church, Annacurra, arriving at 7.30 p.m. His Funeral Mass is on Wednesday at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. RIP.
