An attempt to discuss a planning application at Coolcotts was shot down at last week's meeting on the local borough district.
Under the planning reports, one councillor attempted to bring up the application but was quickly told by Director of Services, Tony Larkin, that it was 'a live planning application and can't be discussed'.
However he said all submissions received by the council would be considered.
Cllr Davy Hynes attempted to bring up the matter later when he said that Coolcotts Lane would need work if there 'was to be any further development' adding that development 'would add even more pressure to an already busy road'.
Cllr Anthony Kelly wondered how many social houses the council were planning on building this year and administrative officer Anthony Bailey said the council were still waiting on confirmation from the Department of the Environment.
