PO raid duo are gathering funds
TWO young men charged with robbing Ramsgrange Post Office are gathering compensation ahead of the case going to Wexford Circuit Court.
Simon Murphy (22), Haggard, Ramsgrange, and Patrick McMahon (22), 13 St James's Villas, Campile, are charged with robbing Pauline Murphy of €3,379.86 at Ramsgrange PO on January 21.
When they appeared before New Ross District Court last Tuesday, Inspector Mick Walsh sought an adjournment until September 13 to allow the Gardaí further time to prepare a book of evidence.
When Judge O Buachalla asked if compensation was being gathered, he heard that 'a collection of funds is being made'. The court had previously heard that the duo had signed confessions following their arrest.
