The reduction in public toilets in Wexford from five to three is expected to yield a 'significant amount in savings' according to District Manager Angie Laffan.

On June 1, three public toilets or Automatic Public Conveniences will be removes from South Main Street and Paul Quay Car Park. The USL unit at Crescent Quay Car Park will be retained and improved, while the unit at Dunnes Stores on Redmond Road will be upgraded to a fully disabled accessible USL unit.

The units will be out of commission from today (Tuesday) and dismantled by JC Decaux on May 25.
