FRIENDS of Wexford Hospital received a €700 cheque thanks to the efforts of people living at Rectory Hall in Castlebridge.

The residents this year decided to donate the proceeds from their annual fun day to the hospital, with young and old alike enthusiastically doing their bit for a good cause. On the day, there were home-made cakes and buns, bouncy castles and sports events, with left over food going to the Women's Refuge. The three main organisers were Grainne Pinqui, Yvonne Johnston and Siona Furlong, with Siona's eight-year-old daughter Aisling doing a lot of the leg work in the estate promoting the fun day. On the day of the presentation Aisling represented the young people of Rectory Hall to hand over the cheque.
