The Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy is lending its support to the Dragon Sportive, one of the leading charity bike events in the county.

Hotel proprietor Colm Neville and General Manager Jim Maher last week met with the Dragon organising committee to officially announce their sponsorship of the sportive, which takes place in Enniscorthy on Sunday June 21.

Now in its third year, the Dragon Sportive has become one of the most popular bike events in the South East, with over 500 riders expected to roll out on the day.

The sportive is in aid of St Vincent de Paul, with all profits from the event going to the charity.

'We are delighted to welcome the Riverside on board,' said Paul Nolan of the Dragon Sportive. 'The support of the Riverside means we can ensure a top-class sportive on the day.'

The Dragon Sportive is part of the nationwide SKODA Cycle Series, an INM venture.

Cyclists have two routes to chose from on the day, the 130km 'Big Dragon' and the 75km 'Little Dragon'.
