It seems the show must go on for Wexford Drama Group as its members have just announced extra dates for their sellout show The 39 Steps.
Due to popular demand, the show will return to Wexford Arts Centre on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 of November. Those who missed out on tickets for the Opera Festival shows can now get their hands on tickets, which according to organisers are already selling out fast.
PRO for Wexford Drama Group Tom O'Leary said: 'We are delighted to be able to secure the rights for these extra performances as the play is about to go on national tour in England and won't be performed by an amateur group again for some time. Festival time in Wexford is so busy that lots of our regular patrons were tied up with other production. They are delighted to get the opportunity to see what has been one of our best productions in a number of years.'
The 39 Steps is a comical stage take on the classic Hitchcock film of the same name. The inventive and gripping comedy thriller features six actors, playing 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced action. Wexford Drama Group have already received rave reviews for their October performances and are delighted to be bringing the mayhem back to the town.
