A veil of sorrow hangs over Oulart this week after the shock death of Justin Prendergast.
From Garra, Justin, pictured, died on Sunday after taking ill while out jogging with his wife on Curracloe Beach.
A forensic accountant, Justin was a staunch GAA supporter and at the time of his death he was serving as chairman of the Wexford GAA Supporter's Club (Dublin Branch).
He was also part of a special committee set up to carry out a thorough review of Minor hurling in the county.
GAA County Chairman Diarmuid Devereux said the GAA community is in total shock following Justin's death.
'I knew Justin well. He was a gentleman through and through. I'm absolutely shocked. We're all absolutely numb here. He was a really lovely, lovely man. He will be a massive loss.'
Justin is survived by his wife Aisling, mother Monica, brothers Richard, Patrick and Maurice and sisters Jayne and Vera.
His remains will be reposing at his home from 11am Tuesday with removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to St. Patrick's Church, Oulart for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
