Storm Desmond, Storm Eva and Storm Frank didn't dampen spirits at the Wexford Winterland events as arrangements were made to ensure that the events could still go on.

The Dublin Gospel Choir, due to perform in the Bullring on December 18, instead took to the altar in St. Iberius Church where no storm could effect the acoustics of the ancient church. Along with Brian Kennedy, they treated the audience to a magical performance.

Another storm was in full force by December 23, when two films were scheduled to take place in the Bullring. With the help of St Iberius once again, the children of Wexford had the chance to enjoy two festive films as a large screen was erected in the Church. Screenings of Home Alone and The Snowman received large crowds despite the force of the storm outside.

Wexford Winterland came to an end on Sunday at the final skate on the Wexford on Ice rink.
