Silting in Wexford Harbour is still a huge issue according to Cllr George Lawlor.
Speaking at last week's borough meeting Cllr Lawlor said the silting causes major problems in the harbour and the crescent and wondered if anything could be do to combat the issues. He said that since the Marina Arm was built the silting was very unsightly.
The members heard that there is an ongoing problem with silting in the harbour. Captain Phil Murphy said it may be possible to take a piece out of the back of the Marina Arm but said this would have a knock-on effect.
