Students organise concert for MS Ireland

Students doing a PLC course in music from Enniscorthy Vocational College donated money to the South Wexford MS Ireland branch from a concert they organised.

A cheque for €420 was given to Lynda Shaw from MS Ireland from the students last week.

'We held a music gig at the start of the month and decided to donate the money to this charity. It is one that is close to home. One of our classmates, Bryan Murphy, someone in his family suffers from MS,' said student Niamh Murphy.

As part of their course the students had to do two gigs throughout the year as part of an assignment with the second one in aid of charity.

'We had special guests perform on the night including our course directors Anita and John Cullen plus local band KOBI who are very good,' said Niamh.

All students performed on the night with their musical talents.
