Substantial period house up for auction
A SUBSTANTIAL period house in New Ross that was built in the 1900s, is coming up for auction in Wexford town on Thursday, May 25.
Colum Murphy, managing director of Kehoe and Associates, says Arlington House, at Rosbercon, will have a guide price of €325,000 when it goes to auction at his Wexford salerooms on Commercial Quay.
Arlington House stands two storey over-basement and extends to c. 280 sq.m./3,014 sq.ft.
The house is the former home of the late Dr Charles Kehoe who died several years ago.
Colum said it is a very spacious and well-proportioned home and the flow between reception rooms makes for a very flexible layout.
The four bedrooms are all a good size and the office and surgery at garden level have huge potential for a variety of uses.
Outline Planning Permission has been granted for an additional detached dwelling house within the half acre site which has wonderful views over New Ross and the River Barrow.
