It was a case of good karma for all at the Talbot Hotel when they received recognition for their support of Wexford food producers.

The four star hotel was recently awarded the status of Official Supporter of the Wexford Food Family in honour of their commitment to local food businesses. Six of the Talbot's local suppliers decided to pay it forward by nominating them for the award.

'We are so happy to be able to give recognition to this much-loved establishment,' said Neil Murphy, Chairman of the Wexford Food Family. 'We want to say a huge thank you to the Talbot Hotel Wexford on behalf of all the families that they are helping to support.'

A proud Dick Walsh, manager of the Talbot Hotel, was presented with a certificate to acknowledge the business as Official Supporters of the Wexford Food Family. They will now be able to use the Official Supporter of the Wexford Food Family logo on their marketing material for the year, an addition that is expected to help to boost business in the hotel.

The Wexford Food Family was set up in 2011 to promote Wexford as a food brand locally, nationally and internationally. At present, they have more than 34 members at the moment, including bakers, butchers, brewers and growers.
