CLLR Malcolm Byrne has criticised Taoiseach Enda Kenny for bypassing New Ross on his visit to the Wexford constituency on his recent visit to the county last week.
While the Taoiseach visited the other three main towns in the county, he chose to omit the Barrowside town.
Cllr Byrne said: 'I was canvassing in New Ross on Tuesday and was very surprised to hear that Enda Kenny chose to ignore the town. Micheal Martin has been to New Ross a few times and I have demanded that in planning his visit to the county during the election that the four main towns be visited.'
He said that those fortunate enough to be elected must be TDs for the entire county.
