Three County Wexford churches feature in architectural explorer, photographer and historian Tarquin Blake's new book 'Abandoned Churches of Ireland' (The Collins Press, price €27.99).

The author is well known for his captivating images of haunted mansions throughout Ireland featured in another book 'Haunted Ireland.'

'I've been collecting ghost stories for years but after I realised that very few of them could be proven, I decided to hunt down true supernatural stories. Ruins of country houses can sometimes be eerie, but the properties I've included in the book really made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck,' he said. The Wexford churches featured are Holy Trinity Church, Churchtown, near Rosslare, St John's Church, Kilturk, near Kilmore and Templetown Church, Fethard.
