Three in hospital after car hits lorry

THREE men are in hospital recovering from serious injuries they suffered when their car was in collision with a lorry on the Duncannon Line last Wednesday night.

The collision happened at approximately 6.45 p.m. about 3 km from Wexford on the R733.

The three men, two believed to be from Fethard, were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The lorry driver was not hurt.

Following the accident, the road was closed while a forensic collision examination was carried out.

Anyone who saw the accident or was on the road between 6.40 p.m. and 7 p.m. is asked to contact Wexford Garda station on (053) 9165200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

The names of those hurt in the crash have not been released.
