Three months added to Wexford man's sentence

A THREE month sentence for driving without insurance was imposed on a Wexford motorist who is currently serving time.

Johnny Connors from Rosemount, Drinagh, committed the offence on November 27, 2009 at Kerlogue.

Inspector Mick Walsh told New Ross District Court that the 21-year-old defendant has 39 previous convictions, including four for having no insurance.

Defence solicitor Ed King said his client received an 18 month sentence in December. Judge O Buachalla sentenced Connors to three months to run consecutive to the 18 months he is currently serving and disqualified him from driving for six years.
