Threw joint away

A YOUNG Wexford man who threw away a cannabis joint in Tesco's car park has been told to stay out of trouble for the next six months.

Stephen Darigan (28), of 11 Columba Villas, Wexford, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis at Tesco's car park on Distillery Road on February 22 last.

Wexford District Court heard that Darigan was seen by Gardaí discarding the joint at 1.40 a.m. in the morning. Darigan, who has no previous convictions, apologised to the court. He said he has just finished his Leaving Cert at Youthreach in Barntown.

Judge O Buachalla adjourned the case until December 19 next in the hope that the young Wexford man stays out of trouble until then.
