Top class student from Cleariestown wins award for best exam results

A year of hard work and study certainly paid off for Cleariestown student Gearóid Finn who was recently announced as the CBS Secondary School Student of the Year.

The former CBS student received recognition for scoring the best marks in his Leaving Certificate exams when he received a silver medal and a gift from the Past Pupils Union. CBS Principal Michael McMahon extended his congratulations to the student, describing him as a 'great all-rounder'.

'He was involved in all facets of school life and sports teams,' he said.

Gearóid, who is a past pupil of Rathangan National School, now has his sights set on the future and is currently studying science in UCC.
