fORMER Wexford resident and St Peter's student Des Bishop has announced a comedy gig in the National Opera House next year and the show is expected to be another sell-out.
The comedian's new show 'Grey Matters' focuses on his monumental purchase of 'Just for Men' over a year ago. Since then, he has decided to embrace his grey hairs in the hope that it will make him a wiser person.
Returning to New York, being surrounded by other people's kids, gender and marriage equality and dating a Chinese woman are just some of the personal issues that Des touches upon in his latest performance. However, the main theme of the show, which many people in the audience will be able to relate to, is the fear of turning 40.
Des will bring his show to the National Opera House in Wexford on Saturday February 20. Audiences can expect to hear some local legends about his memorable time as a boarder in St Peter's College and some tales from his many nights out in Bogarts.
