Wexford was shrouded in sadness last week after the deaths of three well known people, all in the prime of life, on the same day.

Mary Kehoe from Belvedere Grove, Pat Redmond from Liam Mellows Park, and Kevin Breen, originally from Mary's Lane off Bride Street, all died last Wednesday in what was a black day for the town.

30-year-old mother of two Mary Kehoe (nee Berry) died after a brave and courageous battle against cancer. Having received the all-clear, in January the devoted mother was told in April that her cancer had returned and she died just ten weeks later.

Father of two Pat Redmond (49), originally from Rathnure Upper, died unexpectedly in his sleep at his home in Liam Mellows Park, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, hours after he returned home from his night shift duty at Irish Pride in Taghmon.

Father of two Kevin Breen (44), who had been living in Cork for the past five years, was found dead in tragic circumstances on Wednesday.
