Wexford's Tree of Hope will take root in Wexford this Saturday September 10 at 11 a.m. during a special planting ceremony in Redmond Park.
The initiative began as a way of remembering those lost to suicide, with over 129 planted nationwide to date. Leonard Kelly has been the driving force in bringing it to Wexford.
'The Tree Of Hope is a symbol to all affected by a suicide or living with mental health issues to show we support you all,' he said. 'Our hope is as the tree grows in strength and so too will the people hurting and as the branches reach out that people in a dark place will reach out and ask for help.'
