Tributes as Anna steps down from HSE
FORMER Council chairperson Cllr. Anna Fenlon has resigned her position on HSE South.
The Fine Gael councillor who has suffered from ill-health, will be replaced by the sitting chairman Cllr. Michael Kinsella following his election to the post at the monthly meeting of the Council.
Fellow councillors paid tribute to Cllr. Fenlon on her contribution to the HSE.
Complimenting her on the work she had done, Cllr. Pat Cody, a member of the HSE, said she wouldn't be giving up if it were not for the long journey involved in attending meetings in Cork.
'She fought the case for Wexford's health services at every meeting. I'm sure she would have much more of a contribution to make,' he said.
Cllr. Denis Kennedy, a member of the Health Forum, also complimented her, saying she had taken every opportunity to protect services at Wexford General Hospital.
