TWO former Cleary and Doyle development sites in Wexford have sold separately at auction for a total of €785,000.

'It's very positive news. It's good to see people at auctions again,' said auctioneer Ann Carton who sold the parcels of land.

She said 9.74 acres of land at Roxborough, adjacent to Kerlogue House, zoned for mixed use, had been sold for €530,000.

'There were four interested parties. Bidding opened at €150,000 and it was bought in trust,' she said.

And a 10 acre parcel of land in Clonard, also part of the Cleary and Doyle portfolio, which was zoned for medium residential use, sold under the hammer for €255,000. The land, which stretches from past the Whitford House, has a county council road resevation on three acres of it.
