Washdown for Wexford's Woodenworks

Steps are being taken to make Wexford's moss-covered Woodenworks on the Quays less dangerous to people walking on them.
'Following representations from myself, the county council is power-washing the woodenworks to reduce the slim and will then treat the boards to try to prevent it from coming back,' said Cllr George Lawlor, a member of Wexford MarineWatch which last week warned that the wooden boards were 'lethal' and advise its patrols to keep off them.
'Hopefully this action will resolve the problem,' said Cllr Lawlor.
