Stars of Welsh television and theatre fame with a little help from local talent will take to the stage at Whites of Wexford on Monday, May 25, for a night of singing, music and comedy in aid of a good cause.

The event is organised by local volunteer association, 'Sport for Africa', which has been fundraising to build schools in Africa since 2005.

Amonth the acts at the show will be 'The Wedges' and the 'Celtic Roots' dancers.

So far, the group have helped build primary and secondary schools, a technical college and a centre for children with special needs.

They have also invested in developing existing educational facilities in an orphanage and have provided a new dormitory wing to a secondary school. These projects took place in many locations in Africa including Zambia, Kenya, South Africa and Malawi.

This year's project is to construct a 600-pupil secondary school for boys and girls in Zambia.

Tickets are priced at €15 per person and are available from Whites Hotel or by calling 086-2537539.
