Wexford Quays were in full bloom recently when big crowds turned out for a cheque presentation from the Credit Union to Wexford in Bloom.

Representatives of the Credit Union presented €500 to the voluntary organisation, which aims to make Wexford town a more attractive place to live. Each year, the Wexford Credit Union donates money to the cause.

Members of the public also enjoyed the Credit Union Coffee morning on the same day, which was part of their latest marketing campaign. According to Loans Manager at Wexford Credit Union, David Maguire, the event attracted much attention and was a great success.

'We had a vintage van giving out free coffee and crepes to people passing by,' he said. 'It has been travelling around the country to our different events and Wexford has been the busiest by far, with over 500 coffees given out on the day.'

The coffee morning was held to mark the beginning of the college year.

'It is a very busy time of year for us,' said David. 'We wanted to highlight the fantastic student loans that we have to offer.'
