Wexford General compliant with working hours rules

Wexford General Hospital is fully compliant with the working hours directive for non consultant hospital doctors (NCHD's).

Figures released show that the hospital operates a maximum 24 hour shift for NCHD's. Cappagh Hospital, the Mater, the Eye and Ear, Loughlinstown, Kilkenny, St Vincent's the Coombe, Naas, St James', St Luke's Rathgar, Bantry, Kerry, the Mercy, South Tipperary, Portuncula, Roscommon and Sligo are also fully compliant.

At near full compliance were Holles Street (98%), Beaumont (98%), Galway (98%), Tallaght (96%), Wexford (95%), Cavan (95%), Letterkenny (94%), Temple St (94%), Cork (93%), Crumlin (92%), Drogheda (91%), and Limerick (90%).

Further down the ladder were Mayo (89%), Mullingar (72%) Portlaoise (84%), Tullamore (80%) Connolly (54%), and Louth County Hospital (50%).
