Wexford gets its first cafe on the Quays
A Wexford town restaurant and wine bar has been given a three-month licence to set up shop on the Quays, the first venture of its kind there.
Bean n' Berry has installed umbrellas, seating and a cooking area on the quayfront and if the project is successful, it could go out to open tender next year.
'For a long time we've had calls to have facilities like this on the Quays, so we want to see if it is worthwhile,' said the outgoing Mayor, Cllr. George Lawlor, 'at the moment there are no plans for other businesses to join it.'
'Whatever is done there has to be done in a tasteful way,' said the outgoing Mayor.
