FOR the first time since 2002, Wexford town has been dropped from the towns under the spotlight as part of the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey.
'With a new policy of rotation, in order to cover more areas, Wexford is not included this time out, but likely to be revisited in 2017,' a spokesperson for IBAL told this newspaper.
The only County Wexford town included in the survey is Enniscorthy which came joint second with Kildare out of 40 towns surveyed.
The last time Enniscorthy was surveyed was in 2011, when it ranked 43rd out of 53 towns surveyed. The latest result has been widely welcomed in the town as what can be achieved when eneryone pulls together.
