Wexford People before Profit and Wexford Sinn Fein will host a joint meeting on the Marriage Equality Referendum at Coolcotts Community Centre on Thursday (April 30).
'We feel this is important to counteract the lies and propaganda being put forward by the 'No' campaign and to encourage people to get registered and to get out and vote,' they said in a statement.
'This referendum is about equality,' said Sinn Féin councillor, Johnny Mythen.
'It is about civil rights, and the fundamental right of any citizen to marry the person they love regardless of sexual orientation.'
Cllr Wadding said that if we truly care about our children we must ensure that whether they grow up gay or straight they will have the same legal rights.
'For this reason we urge everyone to get out and vote Yes for Marriage Equality on May 22,' she said.
Thursday's meeting in Wexford town is to begin at 8 p.m.
