It seems like the Spiegeltent has barely left our shores and there is already another magical entertainment venue being erected in its place.

Wexford People Wexford on Ice will open on Friday, November 27. The rink is currently being put in place, but this is no ordinary ice rink. Skaters will be greeted by a spectacular lighting show and giant screens showing winter scenes, Christmas movie snippets and Winter Olympics' clips.

O'Briens Café will provide the option of a warming drink after a session on the ice. All this against the backdrop of the spectacular Quay Front. The ice rink proved one of the most popular attractions last year, drawing in more than 25,000 visitors.

'We are delighted to partner with Lantern to bring Wexford on Ice to the town. It will be a great attraction and the Wexford People has a long tradition of supporting major events such as this,' said Michael Ryan, Managing Director INM Regionals East.

Tickets for Wexford on Ice and all Wexford Winterland events are available from www.wexfordwinterland.com or the box office at 1 North Main St. 053-9199199.
