Wexford students receive €1,000 DCU scholarships

Three Wexford students have been presented with €1,000 Academic Scholarships to study at Dublin City University.

The scholarships were awarded to the students in recognition of them achieving 550 points or more in the Leaving Certificate.

Grainne Byrne from Enniscorthy and a former pupil of Coláiste Bríde was amongst the recipients. She is currently a first year Marketing, Innovation and Technology student at DCU.

Aaron Murphy from Castlebridge and Joe O'Connor from Drinagh, are both former pupils of St. Peter's College, in Wexford. Joe is currently studying Physical Education with Mathematics and Aaron is a first year Physical Education with Biology student.

Over €100,000 worth of scholarships were presented to fresher students at DCU. Awardees were joined at a special presentation ceremony at the Helix by their parents and former school principals on Monday night, February 15.
