Wexford tax defaulters paid out €600,000 to Revenue

Wexford people paid out more than €600,000 in tax, interest and penalties, according to the latest list of tax defaulters published by the Revenue Commissioners.

The largest payment was by Clonattin, Gorey-based Weatherglaze Systems Limited, installers of PVC Windows, Doors and Conservatory Installers.

The company paid tax of €144,184, Interest of €32,975, Penalties of €88,203, Total €256,362, for the Underdeclaration of Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE/PRSI.

John Boyle, 60 Heathfield, Clonard, skip hire contractor, paid tax of €116,177, Interest €39,627, Penalties €87,133, Total €242,937, for the Underdeclaration of Income Tax and VAT. Revenue Audit case.

Seamus Kirwan, Mullawnreee, Camolin, Farmer/Marquee Hire Agent, paid tax of €29,273, Interest €13,000; Penalties €21,955, Total €64,228, for Underdeclaration of Income Tax and PAYE/PRSI. Revenue Audit case.

Denis Lyndon, Ballytarsna, Oulart, Farmer, paid tax of €24,488, Interest €7,461, Penalties €7,346, Total €39,295, for Underdeclaration of Income Tax. Revenue Audit case.
