two Wexford people and the town itself will feature prominently in RTÉ One's new autumn season of 53 brand new series and documentaries.
Actress Charlie Murphy, the star of 'Love and Hate', will be on our small screens on Sunday nights in 'Rebellion', a drama set over three weeks in Easter, 1916. Charlie will star alongside Brian Gleeson, Ruth Bradley, Barry Ward and Sarah Greene.
Meanwhile, Wexford playright and actor Bill Roche's new series 'Clean Break' will be screened over four weeks with a cast including Damien Molony and Kelly Thornton.
Produced for RTÉ by Octagon Films and 152 Productions and co-funded by the BAI 'Clean Break', set in Wexford, tells the tale of a community driven by love, greed, status and revenge. 'Clean Break' stars Adam Fergus as Frank Mallon, a car dealer in Wexford town who is on the ropes financially.
In a last-ditch bid to escape his creditors, Frank attempts to stage a tiger raid on his local bank - kidnapping the manager's family.
RTE says the new season schedule will deliver new Sunday night drama, a new slate of documentaries for Monday nights, brand new lifestyle series for mid-week and new entertainment for weekends along with the best in news and current affairs.
