'WEXFORD County Council will not be found wanting in our generosity towards refugees.'
These were the words of Chairperson Cllr Tony Dempsey, who along with County Manager Tom Enright, said the county will help refugee families arriving into the country by providing accommodation for them.
Mr Enright said: 'We are already working on this. Wexford will play its part. 4,000 migrants are coming into Ireland and we are seeing how we can help.'
Cllr Robbie Ireton said a contact should be provided to people who want to provide accommodation for migrants, be it a room or a house.
Cllr Ger Carthy said: 'We all saw that photo. The time for party politics needs to go out the door. This is a serious issue in Ireland.'
