Wexford Winterland are supporting Wexford Lions Club's Christmas Appeal and have teamed up with the organisation to help their humanitarian causes.
Did you know that elves get very cold feet from trudging around in all that snow at the North Pole? Wexford Lions Club have a solution! Members of the Lions Club, along with their friends and families have got their knitting needles out and created little elf socks, stuffed with a little sweet treat! These socks will be on sale from the Wexford Winterland Box Office in the Bullring and all funds will go Wexford Lions Club Christmas Food Appeal.
As part of The Wexford Winterland Festival, a very special open-air Christmas performance is lined-up for the Bullring. The Dublin Gospel Choir continues to amaze audiences all over Europe with a brilliantly adaptable repertoire of songs and they are set to dazzle Wexford audiences on Friday, December 18 when they perform a free concert in the Bullring.
For this rare Christmas performance, a very special appearance from one of Ireland's musical legends has just been announced. The one and only Brian Kennedy will join the Choir on stage. This is a unique opportunity to experience the mesmerising voice of Brian Kennedy with one of Ireland's most renowned Gospel Choirs. This promises to be a magical evening with a special performance of 'You Raise Me Up' sure to feature.
As this is a free event, Wexford Winterland have invited Wexford Lions Club along on the evening to collect donations from concert goers. Funds raised will go towards to their homelessness projects and Christmas appeal which helps local families. For bookings and more information, visit www.wexfordwinterland.com or call 013-9199199.
Wexford Winterland is an economic initiative of Wexford County Council, in partnership with The Wexford Retail Group and Lantern Events.
