Crowds of eager jobseekers gathered in Chevron Training and Recruitment of Anne Street recently to pick up some tips and tricks for landing a good career.

The interactive event gave participants the opportunity to identify the best practice techniques that they can implement throughout the job seeking process. It marked the first of many free career workshops being run by the company over the coming months.

Speaking prior to the event, Managing Director of Chevron Training and Recruitment Karl Fitzpatrick referred to the significant amount of live vacancies that their company has registered.

'Chevron is delighted to report that we have experienced an 80 per cent increase in vacancies registered over the last 12 months by employers throughout Wexford,' he said. 'Our aim is to provide the people of Wexford with the skills necessary to secure these positions.'

Attendees were given the opportunity to access valuable career advice from key speakers and register with the agency of upcoming vacancies.

There will be workshops over the next year on topics such as Personal Branding, Interview Strategy and Career Planning.
