Football fans and music nuts alike are sure to have a ball at the Paint The Town Pink event next month.

The gig, which takes place in Wexford Arts Centre on August 8, has been organised in aid of the Wexford Youths Football Club.

Spectators are promised a night of fantastic local music, featuring talent from around the county. Well-known acts including The Gallivants, The Ocelots, Soul Trek and Tony Carthy will take to the stage, along with many more surprise guests. A raffle will also be held, with some great prizes up for grabs.

According to Barry Devereux, Assistant Media Officer for Wexford Youths, the club has gone from strength to strength this year. Their Mens Team currently sit atop of the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Division One, while the Women's Team are League of Ireland Champions. 'It's great to have an event to support such an amazing community-run Football Club,' he said.

Tickets will cost €10.
