Preparations are under way for 'The Secret Fall of Constance Wilde' which will be performed by White Feather Theatre Company in the Wexford Arts Centre Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7.

Directed by Heather Hadrill, the play stars Olga Conway as Constance Wilde, Rónán Byrne as Oscar Wilde and Ryan O'Donnel as Lord Alfred Douglas.

The play is about the untold story of Oscar Wilde's wife and mother of his children, and is set in a mysterious world that intertwines facts and fiction.

It explores the shifting dynamic of the relationships between Constance, Oscar and his lover Lord Alfred Douglas and sheds light on the wife that few knew existed, who is battling with her own inner demons and secrets from her past.

The play is central to the life of the prolific writer Oscar, and his catastrophic downfall was her fall and yet, she died unnoticed by the world.

Incorporating one of the most notorious legal cases that captivated England and the literary world, Kilroy's play inquires into the cost of the characters' conduct, Oscar's hopes for salvation and Constance's valiant effort to find redemption.

Tickets are €18, for bookings visit www.wexfordartscentre.ie or phone 053 91 23764.
