Whitford carvery scoops top food award

The chefs at the Whitford House Hotel were honoured last week when they were named as the Leinster winner in the Great National Carvery of the Year Competition 2015 hosted by Unilever Food Solutions.
Each year, the Great Carvery of the Year Competition acknowledges Ireland and Northern Ireland's love of Carvery, recognizing the very best pub and hotel carvery that Ireland has to offer.
Following a public vote, a mystery shopper shortlisted Whitford into the top four carvery in Leinster, and the hotel went on to be named the provincial winner of the of the Great Carvery Competition 2015.
The award is testament to the quality of food and service provided in the Forthside Bar under the watchful eye of executive chef Siobhan Devereux Doyle.
The team are Whitford were delighted with this very prestigious accomplishment as it reflects all their hard work and dedication to the industry.
Manager Eilish Whitty said: 'A great carvery is all about the quality and taste of food but equally important is great customer service. As a family run hotel our chefs are very tuned into our customers recognising their likes and dislikes and understand the fine balance between offering great local produce while maintaining value for money for our diners despite the challenges of price variances.
