Witness appeal after town centre assault
GARDAI are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Wexford town centre last Thursday afternoon in which a 20-year-man received a knife wound to his face. 'There was an altercation between two males at about 4.40 p.m. in South Main street,' said Inspector Denis Whelan.
He said one of the men received injuries to his face and was initially taken to Wexford General Hospital before being transferred to St Vincent's in Dublin for further treatment. Anyone able to help the gardai with their investigations is asked to call Wexford Garda Station on 053 9165200.
