Yoletown company boss picks up business award
THE OWNER of a Wexford natural foods company has been honoured in the FBD Women and Agriculture Awards.
Katherine Carroll of Yoletown, Ballycogley, the founder of Stable Diet reached the final of the completion and was commended by the judges for the energy she has invested in growing her business.
The awards scheme which was run in conjunction with the Farmers Journal, is the first of its kind to recognise the role of women in farm enterprises.
Katherine was delighted to be short-listed for the final. 'We are tucked away in a very quiet corner of the world here in Yoletown and to receive this recognition for the Stable Diet brand is a wonderful feeling,' she said.
'We have worked hard for a lot of years building the business and restoring the 18th century farm buildings to a standard that is now ready for the rest of the world to see,' she said.
Katherine added that the opening of the company's Stable Diet Cafe in Wexford town has helped to highlight the brand ethos of quality.
