Wexford children took a journey to another planet when they attended the exciting Pluto workshop in Wexford library recently.

Led by artist and astronomer Deirdre Kelleghan, 25 kids took part in a drawing workshop which focused on the New Horizons mission to Pluto.

Participants used pastels and black paper to make their very own pictures of Pluto using the recent NASA images as inspiration. Deirdre also introduced the children to Pluto's moons and taught them about the future of the New Horizons mission.

Each child was provided with NASA educational material so that they could continue learning about the exciting mission at home.
