39 Steps in the Arts Centre

1 39 STEPS. Wexford Drama Group, fresh from its success during the Wexford Opera Festival, are back with its production of 39 Steps. This takes place in Wexford Arts Centre on November 20 and November 21 at 8pm. This hilarious comedy written by Alfred Hitchcock is directed by award-winning director Paul Walsh. See this spy thriller masterpiece recreated piece by piece, including a train chase, a bridge fall, a Scottish dancing band and a Bi-plane attack. It is all recreated by a cast of six including an English toff, three Femme Fatales, and two utter clowns portraying 200 characters. Paul said it was both exhilarating and exciting to be directing such a classic comedy. 'I believe the show is a great opportunity for the group, It offers six brilliant parts for actors and is also a huge challenge for the production team.' The cast includes George Percival, Pat Sinnott, Dylan Walsh, Lauren Corish Wallace, Shonagh Lyons, April Dowdall and Georgia Swan. 5 GREYHOUND RACE NIGHT CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER. The annual Enniscorthy Christmas fundraising night at the dogs takes place this Thursday, September 21, at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track. Song project in Kilmuckridge 

5 LOCAL SONG PROJECT: Traditional singer Aileen Lambert will facilitate a new project focusing on exploring local songs and unaccompanied traditional singing in Kilmuckridge. Starting this Wednesday, September 13 from 7.30 p.m. in Bridie Hammel's Pub this project will take place over the course of a number of weeks.
