Bagatelle say final farewell with the announcement of Wexford charity gigs

By Amy Lewis

Bagatelle have added a number of Wexford dates to their summer tour schedule.

In conjunction with their Final Year Tour, the supergroup will play a number of charity concerts in the county in aid of Diabetes Ireland and Barnardos Children's Charity.

The shows will take place in the Riverside Park, Enniscorthy on July 22, Amber Springs, Gorey, on August 3 and White's of Wexford on August 9, with more announcements to follow. Tickets will cost €25 and the full cost will be donated to the chosen charities.

The Final Year Tour is set to be the last tour for the rock group from Bray, who first formed in 1978. According to Chairman of the Work for Ireland committee Glenn Miller, audiences can expect a 'hugely entertaining and memorable night'.

'Fans of Bagatelle can expect to hear favourites including Second Violin and Summer in Dublin,' said Glenn, who fundraises for several charities along with his friends and family. 'This is the final opportunity for followers of the group to hear these old classics live.'
